As a community, we're always keen to say we want a revival; a chance to play a game where we can once again take up our places as the Jedi, Sith, and other galactic misfits we once filled.  Many of us are looking forward to the new MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, as a suitable grounds for this reunion.  Just yesterday, the developers behind SW:TOR opened a new area of their website, devoted to guild creation.  In case you don't read the MMO threads on this forum, this thread has been created to alert everyone.  What I would like very much to happen, is for all the people who are interested in playing the game and being in a new {O} guild to post here.  As we build a base of interested people, we should discuss what kind of guild we are going to form: Republic or Empire, RP-PvP or PvE, and above all, a name for our rebirth.

Once again, as a first stage, I'd simply like to welcome anyone who reads this thread to post a reply on whether or not they're interested in "re-joining" the Order on SW:TOR.

The last official word was "This year after the end of EA's 2011 fiscal year".  Which ends March 25th.  So basically, sometime between march 26th and december 31st, baring complications.  Of course, that's not that defined.

I, like Randall, would be interested provided they stick with something like $10-15 a month.  I'd consider it monthly dues to be in a premier gaming clan.  I am pretty sure I could afford it, and I expect I'll be wanting to give it a try for a few months once it's out.

As for the rest, I agree we should get a solid base first before discussing those things.  So for now, I'll leave it at that; pending pricing and such, I'm all-in!

That was my thought process exactly, Bunbun.  Step 1, find out who all is going to rejoin.  Step 2, decide Republic vs. Empire, PvP vs. PvE, etc.  Step 3, bicker about the best name to use.  Step 4, Huh?.  Step 5, elect or otherwise decide on a command structure.

Except that you have to have a guild leader with contact information (a phone number) so that important information (servers are down, technical difficulties, one of your members was selling Jawas on eBay, no idea what exactly they will be contacting for, but it's required).  So at least one leader has to be in place just to register the name.

I think we should do PVE while being open to "light RP" (that's an option you can put into your guild's info) it seems to be about what I would expect from an {O} clan in TOR.  And yes, if we did PVE we could do both {O} and {S}, that is true...but I'm not quite sure how, since the guild seems to have to be allied with either Republic or Empire, not both.  *shrug*
