While restoring the oldest PHPNuke site to the new server, I was baffled at how large the database was.
I quickly discovered that this actually all because our news posts were getting spammed to hell. For your viewing pleasure, take a look at the impact that over 180,000 spam comments has on a database.

You can still see how popular each of the postings were. The comments themselves have been deleted. The vast majority of the posts referenced gay child porn. Not sure who they thought they were targeting. ಠ_ಠ |

Haha, wow. I'm surprised the template didn't die in a fire with that many comments. Reminds me of someone at work looped submit function, his MySQL database took up 45 gigs of storage in a matter a day. On the plus side it was just lorem ipsum instead of erectile disjunction.
