2.5 hours of classic samurai awesome-ness from the director of Ichi the Killer, Takashi Miike.
If it's playing in your local indie theatre, go check it out!

Man, I guess i've always been really lucky in that I've always had a venue for international and indie flicks nearby no matter where i lived.  I never really thought of it as something people might not have.

Here is the list of theatres it is showing in, fyr.

Thats your local indie film place  Grin

You could go into DC, Matt, although I don't know how much you would want to do that.   Sad

Yeahs, I actually knew about the 4.  It's a pretty swell place -- it's actually the only theater in town that serves the alkihols.  I might go there soon with the girlfrand and see that new Will Ferrel flick.  She's generally opposed to Mr. Ferrel, but we both loved him in Stranger than Fiction.  (Great movie, btw, if you haven't seen it.)

E Street Cinema, creepy, when I opened Google Earth, I zoomed right to it without really paying attention.  Kind of a pain in the ass to get to on the Metro, but I might look into it.

Cool it's now showing here. Will go see... maybe. GF said his other movie was the vilest movie she'd ever seen, so... we'll see? heh

Ichi the Killer is a love it/hate it movie.  This is more traditional fare (and is a remake of a classic!)

Oh man, I had no idea the guy who made Ichi the Killer was behind this. Now I want to check it out even more.

Also, that one film that I've forgotten the name of that is about cowboys and ninjas. But that is for entirely different reasons.
