Ooh.  Nostalgia kicked in, but imagine my dismay when I opened my JKA case and found Starcraft: Brood War in it.  Hopefully I'll find it, I'd love to play with y'all again.

I've been playing when bored (high). I go to JAWA and AoF and sometimes UE.

When I have the time to fix my laptop, JKA is already installed there (as well as every other game in the series, right back to Dark Forces on DOSBox).  I think I still have most of the {O} packs installed, but I also have a lot of extra crap I might need to remove.  I'll let you know how that goes, probably tomorrow or Wednesday sometime.

Some of the maps that have come out since the so-called Death of the Order are really quite nice.  A lot of them would kind of suck on "our" server (especially Atlantica, which is unfortunate), but I'll go through what I have and see if any must-haves come up.

Welp, due to a house fire my playing might be delayed (unless I want to venture on my craptop). But I have some server recommendations if we don't have one to host ourselves.

Dude, that sucks, gotta not tip over the 'incense' burners.

I was able to get a server up about a month ago as well.  Weird, I never even saw this thread.  Anywho, if you have me on Steam or XFire and you ever want to play, I can throw something up.  If you want to try a map to be run, let me know prior so I can DL it, since I'm not great at map rotation config.

I do, just reinstalled it.  Been way to long since I've seen/talked to any of you not sure if you remember me. I've been hoping to stumble on one of you guys on a random server lol Smiley

Try MBII:  http://moviebattles.com/

If there's any activity on JKA, it's concentrated there.

Try MBII:  http://moviebattles.com/

If there's any activity on JKA, it's concentrated there.

Says the person who only plays MBII.

There is plenty of activity in JKA still.  There is a 6 year old clan, JAWA, who is still going strong and runs a dedicated server running JAPlus.  There is also a clan, Exiled Knights, who seems to have a pretty strong server population.  Plus a handful of other private clan servers pop up now and again.  And there's always the baseJA duel servers still.

You shouldn't make blanket statements without actually doing any homework.

Myself, Eris, and Vynn have been playing quite regularly for the last 2 months and not once have I seen more people playing MBII than I have seen on the 2 or 3 largely populated servers I've found in JAPlus.  Some of this may be due to the time that I play, as I have always been a late-night player.  But the JAWA server is a daytime place, and I've never seen more people on a single server than I have on the JAWA or EK servers when they are populated, save maybe the TMBJ server back in the days of JK2.

And as I said, I can run a server just about whenever, so if anyone wants to add me on XFire (jed1tzu) I can set something up when I'm around.
