Thanks for the invite.  I'd have messaged you on plus, but I can't find that feature.  I presume that they will integrate gmail into plus at some point so that your plus contacts automatically get added to your gmail contacts.  Betas are fun. I remember when gmail was beta.  :-D

Sooo...how is it better than facebook?

- First and foremost: Circles.  it's basically friend groups.  When you create a post on Google+, you can designate which circles can see it.  So you can keep different groups separate if you'd like.  This is great, because on Facebook I have friends from all over.  I have 15 year old kids from a youth group, and I have friends from my hockey team.  And hockey locker rooms are vulgar.  And sometimes, I want to make a joke that my family shouldn't really see.  XD

- The integration of gmail and gchat are welcomed additions as well.  I don't like Facebook's chat interface.  Gchat plays well with Pidgin.

- Conference webcam chatting would be neat, too.  Great collaboration tool.

- Google says they won't touch your stuff.  They won't use it, abuse it, etc.  Facebook says that while the stuff we post is ours, we agree to let them use it freely in any manner they choose.

- The Android app is nice.  You're basically given a web-based Picasa, and I can set it to automatically upload all my pictures taken with my Droid to this private Picasa (private is key).  Then, I can choose to share individual pictures if I want.  Talk about a quick way to share a picture.

The picture part I will gripe a bit about, while it seems to be very efficient battery wise (it used around 3% of my last charge), Every sprint phone we've tried the app on causes it to get fairly hot if doing a lot of pic uploads or Huddle.  Not sure why, as it's not using much battery, so I'll have to dig in further to see what it is using.

Kinda, yeah.  XD  Really, I just hate Facebook, I HATE Mark Zuckerfuckberg, and Facebook feels like a clusterfuck.

I'm really loving G+.  The circles thing is HUGE.  The more services they start integrating, the more huge this thing whole project is going to become.  I'm imagaining one day you might be able to immediately plug an event from your google calendar into your blog or google site, along with some pictures from Picasa and a link to a web magazine promoting the event from your +1s, then feedburn it to just one of your circles.  Wouldn't that be neat?  Or sharing documents easily with your circles?  The more they integrate, the better, and I'm all for them pushing farther and farther with this project.  It's everything I wanted in Facebook but never got...and yeah the privacy thing is key, Teo.  I HATE FACEBOOK'S (lack of) PRIVACY!  :-P
