It's funny what age does to you at a certain point.  A buddy of mine is but a week younger than I.  I keep very active with hockey, golf, and ultimate frisbee (outside of the running around my two-year old gives me).  My buddy, in contrast, does not keep active.  He played some ultimate frisbee with me on Monday (he used to be a regular) and he just looked like a sluggish old man.  I'm still out-running the 17 year olds.

The moral is to just keep swimming.

Amen.

Double Amen.  I'm in better shape now that I've been in my whole life...mostly because once you reach that certain age (sometimes it's late 20s, other times it's 40s, it's different for everyone) when you realize you're mortal, and you need to live the best life possible.  At that point you say screw it to all those unhealthy lifestyle choices and start pwning all your friends.  I keep up with 20 year olds these days, but when I was in my 20s, they'd have lapped me.

The Navy has done a fantastic job of kicking my ass out of a sedentary lifestyle full of much smoke and drink.  Looking at pictures from a couple years ago can be kind of striking.  I was never fat, per se, but I was getting heavy and weak.  Now i'm working out a lot, and barely drink, although I still smoke too much.  Planning on cutting that when I graduate here and get stationed in Hawaii.

This might be a little ironic, but i'm actually looking at the other side of troubles now.  Since I started hitting the gym and exercising a lot I lost most of the fat, but gained a ridiculous amount of muscle.  I'm 6'3", and at 210lbs I weigh more than I did when I joined up.  Thats about 15-20lbs too much meat, which is rough on the joints.  I'm trying to figure out how to slim down some while still maintaining my energy level and gym time (which has become a major source of stress release.)

Oh, bringing back custom titles.  I sense a "Throbbing Member" in our near future.

You mean your future, right?

Like you, Yanci, that one was too easy, that's why no one else took it.
