But I'm done.  I used to really like you people.  I used to really like this community.  But over the last couple months, all I've seen is an underlining tone of condescension from many people I used to think were my friends.

I suppose this place, even after becoming an all-encompassing gaming community, has never fully recovered from the damage that certain power-hungry political figures did to rip it apart so many years ago.  I find that I cannot stomach most of the forums here, and the few that I do post in, I find the attitude displayed by the "in-group" to be bordering on hostility.

I have done nothing but come back to a place I loved, tried to make a few people laugh, tried to stimulate some conversation, and it seems that a select few are not willing to accept me back.  That's fine.  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your lives, I had some fun times.  Peace.

Tzu, if this is in response solely to me, than I apologize.  HOWEVER, in your post where you're saying you've been experiencing nonstop hostility and condescension from us, you need to understand that from our (my at least) perspective, I've been experiencing a lot of that in your posts.  I won't dredge up specific examples, because that would just be seen as vindictive, but it has been happening.  It's largely been a lot of "give as good as you get."  And it's not all reactionary either.

I'm willing to attempt change.  If you are too, maybe the rest of us will go along with it.  But if you think leaving this community is the best way for you to deal with this problem, then you have to do what you have to do.

For the record, I am sorry.
