prequel mod to Portal, longer than the original Portal and a very high production value...

I love how half the comments are people wondering what track that is...  It's very clearly Session...  sheesh.

Anyone know if this still works as well?  I just reinstalled Portal in anticipation of this month's new game, and I kind of want to try this mod out.

I just recently played through all of prelude using the steam version of portal and it worked great, highly recommend it.  Many of the levels, especially the last 2 are just beautifully difficult.  The room where you have to get up to the top to bounce the energy balls around and activate like 5 receptacles was one of the most challenging things I've done in a game.

The room after that wasn't hard, but was a lot of fun.

I'm holding out for now, there were rumors of if you buy the 360 version you can download PC one too.

That'd be nice for some people at work so we could do some co-op on live.

I hadn't heard there even was a 360 version.  All I know is that the save data is cross-compatible between PS3 and PC versions.  So I preordered for PS3, but might eventually get the PC version for trips and such.

My undertsanding was that Sony and Valve partnered up, and that the PS3 version gives you a key for the PC version on Steam.  I have not heard the same for 360.

After installing Prelude, my computer went and had a shit fit (which is why I've maintained radio silence of late).  Possibly unrelated to the mod download, but if not, I'm just letting you all know.

I gave prelude a shot shortly before Portal 2. I found it to be frustratingly difficult.

Agreed.  Portal 2 was brain-stretching, but nothing stumped me for more than a half hour.
