I'm in the 360 Beta right now.

So its COD4, but back to WWII.

Playing standard deathmatch, I was enjoying myself but some things just don't feel right to me.

For instance, the bolt action rifles take way too many chest shots (in the order of 3 sometimes, to kill.  Compare that (along with some that have a super slow [Mosin-Nagant] cycle) to say, a BAR, just as accurate to 85% as much range, same power and easily places two rounds on target, or a whole magazine if you tap for single shots.

So I thought I would probably buy the game, mostly for the SP.

But then I played Hardcore.  Now I never did do Hardcore much in COD4, so I don't know whats different, but I love it in COD5.

No HUD, no reticle, more bullet damage (shot to chest is generaly it), you dont even get the XP popups.  It makes it feel so perfect for a WWII setting in my opinion.

Anyone else in the beta, Texan Stone on XBLive if you wanna play some rounds.

Also I'll be trying to get one of the fileplanet subscriber keys as well if I happen to get one when they start giving them out.

You can also sign up at callofduty.com, I got my key in two days.  I've seen as many as 15000 people online dunno how many they're giving out.

Hardcore mode sounds identical to it's CoD4 version, which is good. Not happy about the WE'RE GOING BACK TO WW2 TO GET MY FUKING HITLER though.

Oh okay if it's not Infinity Ward then it's likely to be utter trash. I played CoD3 and could barely tell who was who before I was confronted with a moving death scene in which the whiny sergeant who I think was supposed to be 'gruff and intimidating'  because he shouted at another NPC a lot but came off as a complete asshole retard that almost got us all killed (by just sitting still while a tank drove at us) actually died. For no reason at all. And then everyone congratulated him on a job well done, because he defused a bomb (which I had already defused).

Well, i played the hell out of call of duty 4, up and down. Just recently got the World at War Beta, just to see what all the hype was about. It's Call of Duty 4, with WWII everything, could easily be passed off as a mod and sold for cheaper. Not going to waste my money on a Call of Duty 4 replica, Treyarch fails yet again.
