So, I know some of you play instruments and I thought it would be fun to talk about them. I am also extremely bored.

I play the guitar (poorly) and thought I'd share some of my gear because I'm bored as shit.

Guitar(s)
Strat copy from Vietnam (Antoniotsai)
Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst (For sale!)
Jay Turser Liberty Acoustic (For sale!)
Dean EVO XM (For sale! upgraded tuners)
Guess which description goes to which guitar
Amps
Nothing but embarassment

Effects
Nano Muff Overdrive
Little Big Muff Pi
Ibanez Weeping Demon (WD7)
Behringer Vintage Phaser (VP1)
On the way: Snarling Dogs Blue Bawls Wah (awesome)

Post about your music (or post links to actual music) and discuss your playing, recording, or noodling.

I play guitar, or did, not so much anymore after I had surgery last september on an old wrist injury, I can't fully rotate my wrist yet (or ever, who knows).  I still play now and then so I don't forget, but I'm really not happy with my ability anymore.  Still, I have all my stuff, couldn't sell anything.  I've tooled around with an old Harmonica that I have.  Have a couple odd instruments that I can barely play, but I like to keep them.

Guitars:

Fender Standard Fat Stratocaster (Mexican-Made)

Piece of Junk Semi-Hollowbody, think its 'Johnson' brand of something.  I keep it because it looks great on the wall.

Washburn DS-9 Acoustic - Love this one, and got it cheap, discontinued, I think.

1/2 Size Nylon Screen Classical - Was like 30 bucks. Strangely, probably have played it more than any other guitar I've had, its so easy to just not worry about it, grab and play for a bit.  I don't think it even has a brand on it.

Squire Affinity Stratocaster by Fender - The 'by fender' part here is pretty loose.  Most of these are made in a factory the same as a lot of other brands in some Asian Country.  This was my first Electric, and, as it came, wasn't that good.  About a year after I bought it, one of the pickups stopped working, so I replaced all of the electronics with stuff from Carvin, and this guitar honestly, sounds better than my Fender, I could detail the pickups and stuff if you want.  In Short, I'm very impressed with Carvin, and if I wanted a pro-quality Electric, I'd go no further.

My amps suck, but I love my Guitar Port by Line 6.  That, along with my laptop, and your average home theater system can create some awesome sounds.  If I was going to by a large amp (and not get something with Tubes), I'd probably go with something by Line 6.

I have a few other assorted instruments, like a cheap mandolin (that actually sounds pretty damn nice, what little I can play on it), and I actually have a Celtic-Style Harp, looks something like this.  Can't play much on it at all, but mostly because I still am fairly horrible at reading music.

Wow, long post.

I've really wanted one of the Carvin DC-127s, actually. Did you get the C22 pickups by any chance, or did you stay with single coils? I'd probably go with the M22SD bridge and the C22J neck.

I like the Line 6 pedals, but I find the amps a little disappointing. I hear the Flextones and Vettas are good, but their best Spider (the Spider Valve, with the Bogner design) and the cheaper spiders sound like crap to me.

I'm looking into getting a Peavey Blues Classic Amp or this Mesa/Boogie Mark III combo on sale at my local Sam Ash.

I need a usb or firewire interface for my lappy. Looking into getting one and a couple mics over the summer.

Went with just 3 AP11 single coils.  I love the sound, and they have the 12 magnet poles, so there's no drop out on bending like occasionally I will get on my Fender.

I'd order a DC135 with two AP11's and a C22B, if I were getting another guitar right now.

Sad to hear that about the Line 6 amps, I haven't played with one before.

I love Guitar Hero, was playing the new Metallica one the other day at a buddies house, was fun, and I like the new more exact hammer-on/pull-off mechanic.

I've wanted a Schecter guitar ever since i tried some 300 dollar 7-string made by them. It was absolutely awesome. Do you like the solid-state Ampeg head?
