JKA, JK2, MotS, JK, and DF are now all on Steam for a whopping bundle price of $19.99. What a deal!

I'm assuming they had to update the binaries to remove the CD check, I wonder if any other little tweaks were made. Apparently the in-game music was stripped from JK/MotS as well, but if I recall correctly those games just played CD-audio from the disk. Since the JK2/JKA audio is in the PK3s, it's probably still there.

Looks like an X-wing bundle is next!

Hopefully they updated Dark Forces to run on anything other than Windows 95...  That was the worst part of finding my disk again; finding out that Windows XP can't run the damned thing.

It's all logic and reason now.  Science and progress.  Tsk tsk.  Laws of hydraulics.  Laws of social dynamics.  Laws of this, that, and the other.  No place for three-legged cyclopes in the South Seas.  No place for cucumber trees or oceans of wine.  No place for me!

I hear that it "works" through Steam, but you can't get to some of the settings unless you launch it with DOSbox.

Incidentally, I now have all of these fine programs working on my computer, without Steam.  I may not have followed the rule of the law to the letter, but I'm more than pleased with the results.  JK1 is a lot harder than I remember it.  I rarely have shields for most of a level, even at the beginning levels.

Something glitched in my Dark Forces playthrough though, and I was immune to all energy attacks..  Dark Troopers still kicked my ass, their missiles do physical damage.
